Brittania Beach is a wonderful little "ghost" mining town just a few kilometers outside Horseshoe Bay, on the way to Squamish and Whistler. It's worth a little jaunt at any time, but particularly for special occasions, for gift giving, for checking out an important piece of British Columbia, as well as mining, history. The "Amber, Silver & More" jewelry store is owned by Alexandra & Andrew Kuczynski, who imports his amber from Europe. His jewelry, hand made (see photos below), makes great gifts for all occasions. The Native Art Gallery displays art from all the northwest native groups and there are some truly magnificent gifts available here, as well, as there are at the General Store. There is also a Stained Glass shop and a Burger Place and Cappuccino Place. And don't forget the Mine Tours, usually daily during the summer time, the mining history and copper souvenirs.
